Salim Nice
President & CEO
Salim Nice is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Reimbursement Recovery Services, bringing over 25 years of expertise in government reimbursement and tax strategies. His passion for leadership, attention to detail, and commitment to execution have fueled his success in driving innovation and growth in healthcare reimbursement.
Previously, Salim served as President and CEO of Healthcare Reimbursement Solutions, where he spent five years transforming revenue streams and increasing service revenues by over 240%. He also successfully launched Medicare revenue services, which grew to represent nearly 40% of total revenues within three years.
Earlier in his career, Salim co-founded and served as SVP, COO, and CTO at Healthcare Payment Specialists, where he played a key role in expanding the company from three employees to over 85. Under his leadership, the company achieved over $100 million in recoveries and was later sold to TransUnion in 2018 alongside his partner, Peter Jarvis.
Salim was instrumental in developing Stingray, a pioneering system for processing transactions against Medicare’s Direct Data Entry (DDE) system. This system has since become essential for hospitals looking to accurately file shadow bills for Indirect Medical Education (IME) and Graduate Medical Education (GME) and recover reimbursements from Transfer DRG (TDRG) claims.
Salim has led teams that revolutionized the way hospitals utilize government data, recovering over $1 billion for U.S. hospital providers. He is an active member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and the American Health Law Association (AHLA), regularly collaborating with industry experts at national conferences on hospital reimbursement issues.
“Innovation in healthcare reimbursement isn’t just about technology—it’s about empowering the people who make healthcare possible.”
